7.      Teacher demonstrates the students how to play the game.
8.      Teacher distributes the game board with the dice and the cards.
9.      Students play the game.
10.  Teacher distributes the activity report worksheet and explains the instruction (Appendix 2)..
11.  Students fill in the activity report worksheet

It cannot be argued that games bring many benefits in the teaching and learning language, particularly English. Teachers can get many benefits in using games in their class. This article discusses Race and Win, a board game that can help much in teaching present simple. The strategy described here is how to use the game as a media to practice the use of present simple grammatically, notably agreement of the subject of third singular person and the verb. By using this game, students are encouraged to practice the use of –s/-es addition on verbs in order to make a grammatical sentence of Simple Present. Through this game, students’ motivation is increase due to the sense of challenge and fun of the game. Therefore, it is very beneficial for teachers to use games in teaching English.
