Extensive reading is done out of classroom with free time allotment. It means that the activity is set up in such way where classroom activities are not disturbed. If a teacher needs to accompany students for first and second time their reading, s/he should manage a time which available for all to have reading together. Considering that the priority of extensive reading here is using online graded readers, the first meeting should be in the computer room with internet access.
Pre-Reading:
1.      Teacher chooses one story and reading aloud.
2.      Teacher and students discuss what a story was about using such clues as the title, cover, and illustrations.
3.      Teacher has little chat with students about the story structure.
4.      Teacher guides students to browse the given site and assist them choose story on their own.
5.      Teachers delivering self-monitoring cue card (Appendix 1).
Whilst Reading:
1.      Students read their own.
2.      After the first reading, teachers distribute worksheet which consists of key concept (Appendix 2) to assist students understand the story.
3.      Teacher help students answer questions and by sitting beside and guide students who had difficulty recognizing words and predicting the meaning.
Post-reading:
1.      Teacher distributes story map sheet (Appendix 3) and assists students complete them based on their own story.
2.      Teacher give general question in the table form (Appendix 4) and gives guidance for rewriting the events in the story (based on their self-monitoring cue card-Appendix 1 and key concept on worksheet -Appendix 2).
3.      Students have peer or groups for story retelling.
These post-reading activities provide a chance for weak reader to be confident doing extensive reading activity because they enjoyed their own chosen stories. Peer or grouping for retelling story reduces the students’ anxiety and shyness.

Reading for pleasure is somewhat unusual in academic purposes rather than getting information. Idea of extensive reading with graded readers which allow students get and decide what to read on their interest and level of ability is an alternative way to overcome students’ reading boredom in the classroom. This provides comfortable atmosphere when extensive reading is done online. Students may choose short stories on their interest and read in ease. A variety of hypertext with attractive presentation supports their reading.  Then, students’ confidence will be higher as well their language improvement. Finally, reading for purpose will be better applied together with reading for pleasure.
